Help me with school book problem!?
-So, I took chemistry this year, but dropped the course because it messed up my schedule. I gave my friend my book and told him to return it to her, and he says he did. But today I got a letter in the mail saying I owe the teacher my book, when I don't have it because I gave it to my friend to return to her, and my friend isn't a liar, because he says he did return it. The book is $60, and I don't know what to do. My mom and dad will be angry if they have to pay for a book I returned. What should I do? Schools out so I cannot physically go there and see the teacher. I don't know her email address, and I refuse to pay for a book I returned!! Please help!are you sure he returned it? maybe he lost it, or didn't tell the teacher it was YOUR book. So she just marked it as lost and returned or some crap. Talk to your friend again, mare SURE!!!! Sorry if you have to pay for it. But its your fault, you shouldn't trust anyone, even your friends. You should have done it yourself.
You can find the book online for cheaper and buy another copy.

Law School Choices..Last Minute!?
-I took the LSAT late (this June) with the idea that I would be taking a year off of school...Then I found out some schools are still accepting applications, so I decided to throw a few out there so I can get a jump start on my studies and then transfer to either Marquette, Madison or Northwestern for my 2nd and 3rd years.
This past week, I received a scholarship from Hamline that puts me at $20,000 per year, today I just received a scholarship for Ohio Northern that puts me at $5,000 for tuition per year. I am still waiting to hear from Drake and Akron. Any suggestions of what to do or where to go? Which school is the most reputable? What school will be taken most seriously by Marquette especially for transfer?
Thanks a ton!!Go to Northwestern! It has a very good reputation and is the most impressive. Plus, it's in a great city.
Definitely transfer to Northwestern!!!
Good luck hope I helped
I'd go with the $20k.

Is a 4.35/5.0 gpa very good for a 10th grader?
-Most schools use a 4.0 scale, with the 4.0 - 5.0 coming from Honors/AP classes. In that system, a 4.0 means you got an A in every class & the extra points are assigned for college level classes.
In that case, your 4.35 is very good. Congratulations!I'd say so. It's a little better than average so community colleges definitely shouldn't be in your future.
Yes that is really good. Congratulations on working hard and keep up the good work. :)

Does your high school have different colored graduation gowns for top students?
-My high school's caps and gowns are blue (for both men and women), but the top 2% of students get white caps and gowns. I thought that was pretty normal, until I've searched online and haven't found much about this. Is it a common practice? Does your high school do the same thing?Mine didn't. |: Graduation practices vary widely among schools.
No its not normal at my hs and schools in the area the nest students just got like gold cords to go around their necks
No. They get this thingy that they wear on their neck though.

Please edit my Catcher in the Rye essay? 10 points! Please?
-Here is the link to my essay on adulthood in Catcher in the Rye:

If you could please just read it (2-3 minutes) and tell me briefly what I should fix, I would be INFINITELY GRATEFUL! Thank you very much! :)
Also, if you could recommend a good conclusion, that would also be amazing. Not to brag, but my teacher tells me to expect an A* at GCSE English.. so with that in mind..
1. REALLY cut down your quotes. They need to be short and succinct. For the future (could be hard now seeing as you've already written the essay) you could try 'incorporating' phrases or words within the sentences? E.g. If you are making a point about something, grab your novel and find an exact quote or even word that backs up your point. The way I learnt this was P.E.E, point, evidence, explain. By incorporating the three together (rather than separately in the paragraph) you'll gain higher marks for your essay writing and structure.
2. To go with my first point, put your quotes in quotation marks!!
3. As for conclusions, (I'm not too great) I normally sum up the main points that were introduced in the introduction and summarise what I've said within the essay. (If that makes any sense at all!!)
Other than that, though, your essay has really good structure and points, but you really just need to stick to the main points that you can really back up with quotations!! Well done! Message me what mark you get!! :DI just skimmed for immediate errors, and I didn't find any. The biggest thing I saw was, and I don't know what your teacher says about this, you didn't use quotation marks on your quotes. I don't know if your teacher would mark you down on that or not, but I'd put them there anyway.
Hope that helped!
