Help me with school book problem!?
-So, I took chemistry this year, but dropped the course because it messed up my schedule. I gave my friend my book and told him to return it to her, and he says he did. But today I got a letter in the mail saying I owe the teacher my book, when I don't have it because I gave it to my friend to return to her, and my friend isn't a liar, because he says he did return it. The book is $60, and I don't know what to do. My mom and dad will be angry if they have to pay for a book I returned. What should I do? Schools out so I cannot physically go there and see the teacher. I don't know her email address, and I refuse to pay for a book I returned!! Please help!are you sure he returned it? maybe he lost it, or didn't tell the teacher it was YOUR book. So she just marked it as lost and returned or some crap. Talk to your friend again, mare SURE!!!! Sorry if you have to pay for it. But its your fault, you shouldn't trust anyone, even your friends. You should have done it yourself.
You can find the book online for cheaper and buy another copy.

Law School Choices..Last Minute!?
-I took the LSAT late (this June) with the idea that I would be taking a year off of school...Then I found out some schools are still accepting applications, so I decided to throw a few out there so I can get a jump start on my studies and then transfer to either Marquette, Madison or Northwestern for my 2nd and 3rd years.
This past week, I received a scholarship from Hamline that puts me at $20,000 per year, today I just received a scholarship for Ohio Northern that puts me at $5,000 for tuition per year. I am still waiting to hear from Drake and Akron. Any suggestions of what to do or where to go? Which school is the most reputable? What school will be taken most seriously by Marquette especially for transfer?
Thanks a ton!!Go to Northwestern! It has a very good reputation and is the most impressive. Plus, it's in a great city.
Definitely transfer to Northwestern!!!
Good luck hope I helped
I'd go with the $20k.

Is a 4.35/5.0 gpa very good for a 10th grader?
-Most schools use a 4.0 scale, with the 4.0 - 5.0 coming from Honors/AP classes. In that system, a 4.0 means you got an A in every class & the extra points are assigned for college level classes.
In that case, your 4.35 is very good. Congratulations!I'd say so. It's a little better than average so community colleges definitely shouldn't be in your future.
Yes that is really good. Congratulations on working hard and keep up the good work. :)

Did i achieve level 2 in my initial assessment?
-I've just done an APPRENTICESHIP Initial assessment, and achieved 61.26% on Numeracy and 78.08% on Literacy, have I passed level 2?No you should pass numeracy and literacy 75%, to reach level 2
Does your high school have different colored graduation gowns for top students?
-My high school's caps and gowns are blue (for both men and women), but the top 2% of students get white caps and gowns. I thought that was pretty normal, until I've searched online and haven't found much about this. Is it a common practice? Does your high school do the same thing?Mine didn't. |: Graduation practices vary widely among schools.
No its not normal at my hs and schools in the area the nest students just got like gold cords to go around their necks
No. They get this thingy that they wear on their neck though.

Please edit my Catcher in the Rye essay? 10 points! Please?
-Here is the link to my essay on adulthood in Catcher in the Rye:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZaIl鈥?/a>
If you could please just read it (2-3 minutes) and tell me briefly what I should fix, I would be INFINITELY GRATEFUL! Thank you very much! :)
Also, if you could recommend a good conclusion, that would also be amazing. Not to brag, but my teacher tells me to expect an A* at GCSE English.. so with that in mind..
1. REALLY cut down your quotes. They need to be short and succinct. For the future (could be hard now seeing as you've already written the essay) you could try 'incorporating' phrases or words within the sentences? E.g. If you are making a point about something, grab your novel and find an exact quote or even word that backs up your point. The way I learnt this was P.E.E, point, evidence, explain. By incorporating the three together (rather than separately in the paragraph) you'll gain higher marks for your essay writing and structure.
2. To go with my first point, put your quotes in quotation marks!!
3. As for conclusions, (I'm not too great) I normally sum up the main points that were introduced in the introduction and summarise what I've said within the essay. (If that makes any sense at all!!)
Other than that, though, your essay has really good structure and points, but you really just need to stick to the main points that you can really back up with quotations!! Well done! Message me what mark you get!! :DI just skimmed for immediate errors, and I didn't find any. The biggest thing I saw was, and I don't know what your teacher says about this, you didn't use quotation marks on your quotes. I don't know if your teacher would mark you down on that or not, but I'd put them there anyway.
Hope that helped!

What are some things i will learn in math in ninth grade?
-And do you know any websites I can go on to help prepare me for the math? Also, I learned some ninth grade math topics last school year towards the end of the year, but will my new math teacher go over the material as a refresher? In my opinion, grade 9 math was really easy. Some of our topics included: linear relationships, slope, angle relationships, variables and equations, area, surface area, and perimeter of 2D and 3D shapes, integers (review), number sets, powers and exponents, and polynomials.

Everyone else cheats, why shouldn't I?
-I do not cheat and I have never cheated on anything... But,
I go to a school where everyone cheats. And it's not just my school, it seems as if most other students do also. This coming school year, I might start cheating. I don't find it fair that I have to work hard and actually study to do well on tests while everyone else gets the easy way out and cheats. I feel as if by them cheating I'm being cheated. They can get better grades than me, a higher rank than me, honors, get into a better school, etc. all by doing nothing. It makes them look better than me but they are just as dumb and lazy as I am.
I feel as if I'm wasting valuable hours of the day by studying useless stuff that won't matter after the test. I might spend 3-4 hours studying while the cheaters will cheat their way through and get the exact same grade that I got. I try so much harder than a lot of these people but they are all artificially above me in rank and I am looked down upon when in reality, they haven't earned their position.
Why should I have to hold back on the opportunity while I live in a society where everyone has this advantage? Now I feel the need to. What is your take on this issue?Cheaters will eventually fail. They get caught or they end up in a situation where they can't cheat and they fail. Even if they cheat their way through university (which is a lot harder, cheating in a university is taken very seriously), once they get a job, it'll be obvious that they didn't actually learn anything and they won't last long.
It's a bad idea in the long-run. Your work ethic will pay off once you're in college or working at a job where you can't get by with cheating. The kids who cheat will eventually get caught or will start doing poorly in school once they hit college. It sounds like your situation is very frustrating right now, but your behavior so far sounds very mature and will pay off eventually.
Not EVERYONE is cheating. Only one kid in my class ever cheated on a test. And I don't think it's smart. Because some teachers (if they find out) figure, You cheated on this you might have cheated on others. And make you re-take it all. And no cheat sheet this time.
Don't you dare cheat! D: You are SMARTER, and obviously much better. What if you get caught? Huh? Later on in life you will be more successful because you actually know everything. They are all unintelligent -.-

How to personalize school supplies?10 POINTS*?
-I want to be very creative , although i am not good at drawing or anything ,, please give me your ideas and tell me what you have done to personalize your school supplies? This is what I did:
I got separators for my binders and then I found some easy but cool pictures to print and I traced them with a sharpie- I used silver and it look really cool! I got compliments! You can also do that on your binder. I wrote quotes on my binder and made it look really cute. Then you can add flowers and ribbons to your pencils and notebooks. Best of luck!
Find folder or binders with your initial on it or print out some small pictures of some of your favorite things and the tape or paste them on to folders or binders. It doesn't have to be extreme as long as you like it. Good luck and i hope this helped. :)
Please help with my question, its the same type of question!
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
You could take a piece of printer paper and stamp all over it. You could bead a chain and tie it to your books as a marker or to your pencil bag to hold it.
Braid friendship bracelets and attach them to your stuff.
Splatter paint it.
i used STICKERS and glitter glue. Otherwise get a trapper keeper and you can put your pictures of you and your friends inside the clear part. (one of my friends did that)
i hope this helps!
I pretty much just wrote my name on all my stuff and then over the course of the year I ended up doodling on everything.
Write your name on it. Problem solved.

TERRIFIED OF UNKNOWN BULLIES IN SCHOOL?
-Hi im in grade 11 and i want to be a prefect in school. The thing is im scared! I will always be put on the spot! Everyone will bully me. What if bigger people pick on me or worse beat me up or make fun of the way i lead. What if they get gangs or threaten my life. I cant do this im terrified. My school is horrifying! But being a prefect will look good on my CV. Im worried. People could hurt me
Im 13. and im going to grade 8 when school starts how do i make sure i get accepted in my chosen high school?
-kso, i know the drill in my school when you get into grade 8 in the middle of the year my teachers tell you to start thinking about what high school you want to go to. im in grade 7 (well its summer break but when i go back to school ill be in grade 8) but the 8's this year had the talk with my teachers about high school and because they didn't think about which high school they want to go to over the summer, none of the grade 8s get to go to high school with there friends like all of them go to diff rent high schools, and when i go to Highschool i at least want to go with 1 friend, so im thinking about it now. i really want to get into Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute, ive been going to track anFieldld ever scence grade 1 so ill fit in the athletics part, but im wonderingng if they look for more than just athletics? can someone not reaathleticctic get in? all of my "sporty" friends arnt gong there and my best friend hates sports but shes good at art and ive done researchasch and found that they have a good arts program( btw my friend isnt thinking about highschool now, she makes it seem like she doesnt even want to go to highschool, so i guess im going all of this reach on my own for the both of us :/), that'shats besides the point basicallysicly what i want to know is, what i need to make sure i get aceppentd.
I HATE my school!! How can I persuade my mom into taking me out?
-Ok..i'm in a very racist *mostly white*private boarding school - no offence to the caucasians-. Now i have no problem with their race at all.. but mot of them are just plain racist to me (yes, I am in the South). Im not use to this.. Im originally from California and I dont see as much there as i do here. Also, I CANNOT talk to my mom for no more than 7 minutes.. ONCE A WEEK!! And i only come home once every month & a day pass for that month which only last for a few hours. On holidays I cant have a day pass.. And I have horrible dorm parents.. I dont feel like getting into all of that. Let's just say they are very 2 faced between parents and kids, and they are much worst than STRICT!. Alot of kids either left during the school year or not coming back this year. If you counted all the girls that have left my old dorm, it would have been 5 left out of 14 (including me). Sadly, I have to go back this year but it MIGHT be my last year.. so I need help on persuading my mom to DEFINATLY take me out at the end of the year..
Please.. no silly&stupid answers THIS IS SERIOUS!
THANKS! :)I think you should tell your mom these concerns and that you can't focus, study, or enjoy yourself in that environment. You should do some research and find a school that is better than the one you are at now and enroll. So, your mom will understand that you want to learn and you can't do it at the school you're currently in.
GOOD LUCK!

Anyone know of a good way to get my daughter to practice math this summer?
-I'm looking for a good way to get my daughter to practice math so she doesn't forget EVERYTHING before she heads back to school. Any suggestions? There are computer games that emphasis maths as well as DS games ie maths training. I wouldn't stress too much, kids need down time and that's what holidays are for. Maybe once a week you could encourage her to use her maths skills playing games. You don't want to burn her out!
And if she isn't learning to play a musical instrument, I totally recommend you get her started. There is a link between music and maths ability and aptitude. And you can learn alongside her! I took up clarinet when my daughter started to learn a year ago (and her overall grades have improved) and we take a lesson together and even play duets together. She loves that I'm there learning with her. And you're never too old! Our teacher has a 78 year old learning!
My daughter has been playing on an online game website called Always Icecream that has math practice in it. She loves to play because there are lots of incentives provided in a MiniWorld that is on the site where she can raise virtual pets, decorate a virtual home create artwork and more. She loves playing there and in order to do those things, she has to earn "scoops" by playing quiz style learning games in math, science, geography, typing and music. So, it is great - she loves to play and I like that she is learning. There are also no advertisements on the site which I really like. And it is designed just for girls 7-12 which I also like. I would definitely recommend it as a way to practice math and other school subjects in a really fun environment. There is a free trial on the main website at www.alwaysicecream.com.
I think there are some computer games that focus on developing math skills. You could also try looking around for some fun websites about math for kids.
Don't. Teachers usually take the first quarter to review everything anyway let her have some fun
Flash cards! :)
threaten to ground her

Has anyone done the leaving cert outside of school?
-For personal and medical reasons going to school has become very difficult for me. I have just completed the junior cert. I'm not sure what I want to do for a career yet but I don't want to limit myself by not doing the leaving cert.
Has anyone else done the leaving cert or known someone who studied at home and organised to do the exams in a centre.
And please don't try and convince me to stay in school, I just can't.

In high school, will we go over material as a refresher in math?
-My math teacher in 8th grade (last year) told everyone in my class that the material we were learning to prepare us for 9th grade was the only time we'll ever go over the material, that we wouldn't be able to go over the material as a refresher in 9th grade. Is this true?Yes. The whole first half the year is just going over stuff you already knew... then again I took algebra twice.
The first semester is really easy though

Where should i go to school?
-i apologize ahead of time coz i know this will be long, but please read.
ok so im going into 9th grade this year and the last two years i was homeschooled. before that i was in public school. the biggest reason that im looking at all these other options is because i have pretty much no friends. just one, if you can actually call her a friend anymore. shes been hanging out with not-so-good friends and experimenting with drugs and God knows what else. shes kinda just backed away from me because im a strong Christian, and she used to be, and anyway thats another issue. (dont insult my beliefs...)
so like i said, im homeschooled. and my mom has my brother and i under a covering thats atleast an hour away from here, so theres no possibility of being social with the other kids in the group. i havent found any clubs or anything locally, and trust me, ive looked.
so i thought, well lets switch coverings to our own church. but the person in charge doesnt really get along with my mom, and plus most of the people in the group are older than me...and theres, like, just one or two guys there and theyre also older than my brother...
then we looked at going back to my old school. but really i dread going back there. i dont really miss anyone there and i just dont want to go back.
now, that makes the last option a church academy. ive never been there before, but my mom knows someone who knows a couple kids who go there and they like it alot. but when i asked my brother about it, he yelled at me and said that he wanted to keep doing what were doing. that really doesnt make sense to me because hes even less social than i am, and i know he must get lonely. but i cant do one option and have him do another.
so now i dont know what to do.
advice?Try the church acdemy, its not your old public school and you will make friends:)

What college course should I take? (Sophomore in high school)?
-I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up, so that doesn't help me.
But my school has dual enrollment where you can take college classes in high school for cheaper. So when I graduate high school, I'll already have credits towards my Freshman year in college.
I'm only going to take one this year, so these are my options that I think I might like.

American Lit/EnglishI would say English if you don't know what you want to be. Literature is always going to be useful. Before u do college anything make sure u are going to do what your studying , before committing all your future income into a school loan for a degree you can't use. Not to be a downer but there is a huge student loan bubble about to pop which means that anyone with a current student loan will have their interest payments jacked up beyond repayment levels...in other words how you gonna pay your student loan on a mcDonalds paycheck...sit out the next year or two and see how this debt ceiling thing works out and either way inflation will hit hyperinflation in a few months which means prices for everything are going up past what we can normally afford. Im just letting you know whats ahead financially for america in the next 2 yrs....do some research into our current problems and you will see something that no news network is even reporting on....a coming hyperinflationary period....yoru warned...please heed it and do the research...it may seem unrelated but it is all related as were all gonna see very soon....good luck and pls do keep the faith. there is a time for schooling, but that time is sure not now.
dude, don't be stupid!!! Take as many as you can possibly take and handle!!! At the end it will all be worth it! Believe me!! You won't have to pay $700/class in college and you'll be done much faster! Take them all!!! I'm telling you! I wish i had taken more, i was so dumb. now i have to pay!! take them, or else you will regret your choice once you don't have the opportunity any more!
I would take something that isn't normally offered at the high school level, so either sociology or psychology. However, you should really just take whichever one interests you the most. It'll look good to colleges no matter what you decide to take. :)

Why do schools lose Accreditation?
-Im hearing that a county close to mine is losing its Accreditation? Why is the schools losing it by the way? Is it because the students are bad, or what?
If it's an action, is it a verb?
-Hi there!
Might be stupid, but if there is an action that is not performed by person / me, is it a verb?
E. g.: "It rains.", "It snows."
It is, right? Because "The wind blows.", "The cloud snows/rains"?
Thanks.Yes it's still a verb. Like personification. "The cat sang the blues." sang is still a verb.
Verbs are actions.
How i used to remember was from the commercial "VERB! It's what ya do!"
a verb is always a verb. rain and snow are both verbs, no matter what. and i'm pretty sure all actions are verbs

What is the difference between Graphic Designing and Graphic Design Production?
-I originally wanted to go into Graphic Design at Georgian College, but there were two programs. One called Graphic Design and one Graphic Design Production, what is the difference? Should I just take the production one? Has anyone taken either of these courses or is currently taking them that could help me out?I am a freelance graphic designer and the difference between graphic design and graphic design production work is that graphic design usually entails more creativey as a general rule. Graphic design production work uses less creativity on the designers part.

Can anyone here tell me more about Trade School? 10 PTS!?
-Hi, I'm 18 years old asian guy out of high school and I was wondering about skilled Trade/Vocational stuff...instead of community colllege and military.
-Is it hard?
-Is it expensive?
-How many years?
-Good pay?
-Safer than college in this economy?Funny thing is I almost went into Vocational schooling instead of college so I can't answer how hard it is.
2-Years
Usually it's cheaper unless you go to a private-for-profit trade school.
I heard it is
It depends if you wanted to go work for, like computers yes you get more but welding not really.

What did everyone get in their GCSEs?
-I was just wondering if anyone has done their GCSEs over the past couple of years - what did you get?
Did you get what you expected?
Are you happy with your results?
What are you doing on the academic front nowadays?
I was just intrigued. I get my GCSE results in about a month, and I wanted to contrast my reuslts with others and what they're doing now.
Would be great to here back from some of you.

How to get a girl in 7th grade?
-Smile and be yourself. :)Smile and be yourself. :)By graduating from 6th grade?
Hows Middle School? What should I put in my locker?
-Im 12, going to middle school(7-8). I just wanted to know what middle school is like. Is it boring or fun. What should I put in my locker(im a girl)? Gym locker? The work won't be a problem(just saying). And yes im smart but I don't look like a geek.I'm in high school now but I miss middle school so much! I loved it! It was a little hard for me at the time because I was so used to the easy elementary school stuff that I didn't really catch up to algebra quick enough. People are kind of stuck up in middle school to be honest. Guys worry alot about sports and start getting crushes on girls. Girls start learning how to put on their makeup and get into style more. (Generally speaking of course. Everyone is different) Everybody is going through puberty and a little confused sometimes.
I recommend getting a little magnetic mirror for your locker so you can check your hair and makeup if your wear it. The girls bathrooms get crowded. When you get your period (if you haven't) keep pads in there just in case. If you have big lockers you can get a shelf to put in there for books.Middle school was very fun, the teachers in my school were awesome, and I made many new friends.
In my locker, I put in: locker shelves (these were SOOO helpful for me, I put my textbooks on the shelves), a copy of my timetable (so if I forgot was was next, I could just look at the timetable w/o going through my binder), and some magnets (to hang up the timetable).
Also, it is a good idea to keep your locker clean, because it'll help you find things easier.
I personally didn't put any mirrors or make up in my locker (mirrors can be found in the washroom, and I don't wear make up), and you don't have enough time to put on make up during locker time in m.s.
In m.s., we didn't have gym lockers, so we put our gym uniforms in out regular lockers.
The work in middle school is REALLY EASY, all people had trouble w/ was getting it in on time!
Hope I helped! =)
just your books. what else do you want in there? it's all you need, they won't even let you go in btw classes. So don't waste money on mirrors and stuff. Just put your books and you can stuff a jacket in there or something. In my school the lockers were super small anyway. Don't worry about that.
Middle school is alright. It's fun with friends. But personally i think still too young to go out to places.
High school will be better :) promise!
i am in middle school 3rd year (6-8) and i <3 it soooooo much! Its so much fun.
Lockers:
Personal Locker: put stuff that expresses yourself a lot
Gym: there isn't much you need to put in there, you won't spend a whole bunch of time with that thing.
i hope this helps!
Middle school is really fun. if you are a girl who really likes to accessorize, you may want to keep some make-up or combs. As for gym locker u may wanna put deodorant or some sort of perfume to keep fresh. Good luck and happy schooling =)
I'm just warnin' ye now, kid... You'll get beaten up daily by older kids, they'll steal any money you have an' throw yer books in the garbage can and hold you upside down over the commode an' dunk your head in... So be prepared an' don't say you wasn't warned.

What all do you need for high school registration?
-And what do you do?The school that you attend will let you know what you need, and that is when you do what they will tell you to do.
This is a very hard question to answer because every school is different with it's registration.

Can Primary Teachers get to move from one school to another?
-In my country (very small) primary teachers get to move from one school to another if another school needs more primary teachers. I find this as a drawback when working in big countries (for example UK, Australia..). Does someone know if primary teachers are moved from one school to another? or do they have a fixed school to work in UK or Australia please thanks!Well a primary school I just did Work Experience at were having a leaving party for their male Year 6 teacher Mr H (Not saying his full name) as he was being transferred to another school in the local area.
So Yes, in the United Kingdom, Primary Teacher's can transfer to different schools.
Hope this helped!

Can someone tell me my grade?
-I checked my grades out online and in math, my grade is 286 and 559 points are possible. In my english class, my grade is 164.55 and 190 points are possible.286 out of 559 is 51 = F
and 164.55 out of 190 is 86.6 which rounds to 87 = B+
hoped i helped :D
In math you have a D in english you have a B+ borderline A-.
You got an F for math 51% and english B+ 87%. Better luck on the math but good job! on the english
Where I live, 51% is a D and 87% is an A-.

Will I get into NCSSM?
-Obviously, I'll be a sophomore this year.
Freshman year I got all As. I took Algebra 2 over the summer, and I got a very high A in that.
This year I plan on taking:
Honors PreCalc
Honors Civics and Economics
AP Music Theory
Honors Computer Programming 2
Honors Chemistry
Medical Science
Honors Anatomy and Physiology
Honors English 2
I haven't taken the SAT yet.
I run Cross country and am on the JV Lacrosse team for my school. I'm also in Key Club, Sgt. At Arms for Beta Club, Model UN, Sign Language Club, and Student Council.
What do you think my chances of getting into NCSSM are?
Also, I live in the Triangle area which I know is highly competitive.
Thanks so much!OHMYGOD! Ahhh I live in the Triad are and i'm trying to go there too! even though i'm a grade below you haha :] that is so weird/cool haha but from what you wrote it seems like you will but you can never be sure i guess

Academic Suspension Help!?
-Okay my question is do you think I should just write my academic appeal again or transfer schools. Here is the scenario, I was out on academic suspension at the end of my spring semester of 2010. Now I wrote a letter of appeal to them but never heard back from them. Now I have to reapply to my school (UNCC) and write another letter. Now with me not being able to attend summer school nor a community college while out, I feel I don't stand a chance of getting back in. Im scared. I know its my fault. I want to fix this. I just have to. Im suppose to be a senior this year. Now again do you think I stand a chance of getting back in with a very convincing letter or should I just transfer somewhere else. PLease no rude comments. I know i messed up but nobody is perfect. I am at a better state of mind. Also if you think should rewrite my letter can you give me some examples of what i should say. Thanks.

Alg. 2 over the summer for school credit?
-Soo... I need to take Algebra II over the summer. I've heard from people you can do it for credit towards your upcoming school year.
Its because im switching schools and my new school says they can't give me honors course (even though ive been and honors student for the last few years) because i didn't take alg. II yet.If your school offers the course, go to them for more info

Do you feel you have a good education?
-Yes. There are things I learned that I cannot unlearn, lol.
Seriously, I would say I had probably the best professors in the US (and no, they were not all of american descent; one of my favorites was of Swiss descent but came from Oxford; he taught thermodynameics and a few other classes).
But my education actually extended into the work world and was more isolated, which included teachers like a phone system expert and an electrician, among a few others.
The rest I learned pretty much on my own.Yes. There are things I learned that I cannot unlearn, lol.

Not really, but due to my own lack of drive and motivation, not the schools.
Bsc going on to ME (physics) I certainly hope I do or else I've wasted many years of my life
No, not at all. I actually feel like I am lacking. I feel like my school isn't teaching us all that we should know and that we are a little behind.

How can I convince my parents to let me go to boarding school?
-Ok, so I'm super smart and public school is so boring because I already know most of the stuff they teach me and then when I am actually learning stuff the teacher goes super slow because 90 percent of the class is too dumb to understand it so we have to keep on going over it and all I want to do is go on and learn the next thing. My dad is with me on the boarding school thing even though he says he'll miss me, but my mom won't let me go because she doesn't want me to leave. What can I do, because I cannot stand another day of public school. I tried asking to go to private day school, but they can't afford that, and private day schools don't give financial aid scholarships like boarding schools do. PLEASE HELP
Boys at my school bullies my group?
-i'm a girl btw, and the main question says it all.
they don't do it AS MUCH to me for some reason, they used to but then i started laughing at their jokes when they bullied me and they kinda stopped. one boy recently started it up again it's SO annoying. they make my friends cry and everything (about 4 out of a group of 6), they have had so many detentions with teachers. it's just ridiculous!
they say it's because we are immature, it's called having fun.. my goddd. i'm slightly less immature than the rest of my friends because i know when to stop.. is that why they are being bullied? is there any way to stop this?:|The boy is clearly the immature one in this situation. Just ignore it and tell a teacher r adult. Don't over react. Tell your friends that it's not a big deal because none of the stuff the boy is saying is true. They need to know that the boy either likes them or just wants to make himself feel better about him self.
you and your friends should act how ever you guys want to act.
i wouldnt let some jackass tell me otherwise because im not "fit" for
their type and personality.

Freshman Fear - Any Advice or Tips on Starting High School?
-I'm about to start high school on August 4th, and I'm kind of nervous, but excited also. Is 9th grade much harder than 8th grade? (I am going to be in all Honors, but I wasn't last year.) I also am now allowed to wear makeup, so any tips on what kind of make-up freshmans wear? It would be also helpful if you would give me some tips on how to stay organized. Lastly, did you enjoy your freshman year? (:
Thanks in advance!-In my opinion 9th grade is the easiest year of school, its a tiny bit harder than 8th grade but not a lot. When i was a freshman i took all honors classes just like you! Its not really a challenge you just need to be sure that you study & turn in your work on time.
- To stay organized always keep your bookbag clean! Do not let trash pile up in there. Use folders to keep your classes organized
- For a bookbag i suggest you get a cute messenger bag
- Makeup: Just wear natural colors, use mascera, some eyeliner.
NO I DIDNT ENJOY MY FRESHMAN YEAR! I wasnt prepared, i had no sense of style, i was clueless, nervous... i was a mess back then. lol but thankfully now i'm much better. I really hope you enjoy your freshman year of high school!Ah, I remember my first day freshman year :) going into senior year now!
I took mostly honors as well, and it's not horribly different from 8th grade. You know how transferring from 7th to 8th got a little harder? Transferring from 8th to 9th will be the same. Just a little harder. Plus, you end up just getting used to the work after like 2 weeks, so then it just seems normal.
Staying organized... a binder/notebook for each class, and it really helps when they're different colors so you can easily learn to grab a certain color for a certain class. DON'T get into the habit of procrastinating... I did, and now I'm a senior and still do :( and that sucks!
Freshman year is one of the best... it's the easiest, most carefree year. After that... things get harder and more... uh interesting haha.
And about the makeup, wear what makes YOU feel best, not what everyone else is wearing. If you feel like you only need some concealer and mascara, perfect. Just some eyeliner? That's cool too. Take a couple days to do test-runs for different amounts/types/whatever of makeup before school starts so you can decide what you like best and makes you feel your best and prettiest :)
Good luck with everything!
Don't worry, it's fun the first day :)
I'm a sophomore, so I just finished my freshman year. It sucks. To be honest, it sucks. There are three grades of people ahead of you who have nothing better to do than make fun of you. The kids in your class don't have any younger kids in school to pick on, so they pick on each other. Midterms and finals are HARD especially since you're new to them. Middle school doesn't prepare you for the tasks of high school. You get lost, you get new interests (which in turn might cause the loss of friendships) and are an overall different person! I don't wear makeup (allergic to the damn stuff, even the hypo-allergenic crap), so I don't know about that. My friends force me into makeup when I ask a guy out. By the way, asking guys out will be harder, since you meet more mature guys who are most likely older than you, so you don't know them as well as the guys in your class. The school is probably big, so be careful. The upperclassmen, even the sophomores and other freshmen, will purposely lead you in the wrong direction. I did NOT enjoy my freshman year. Good luck!

Im a freshman and i have a a 2.7 gpa do you think i can boost my gpa up to 4.0 + by senior yr .?
-I just got my scedule for sophmore yr . and my counselor gave me two honors classes !Yeah you can do it! Just push through, pay attention, sleep well, eat nutrient rich foods, and be physically active. These factors all contribute to a better more focused you which means you can up your grades. I too am also going on to my Sophomore Year! I took honors everything. :D Make sure you reread things or look over notes on subjects you don't understand. GOOD LUCK!If you have a weighted system in you school, yes it is possible. A weighted system meaning you get a higher grade if the class is an honors class. You would have to take quite a few honors classes and make sure you got an A in every class. If you do that i believe it is possible. But make sure you school do have weighted system.
The only way to have a 4.0 (perfect GPA) would be to always get A's. Since you have a low B GPA right now, I'm not sure if you can get a 4.0, as the grades you already have might have knocked you off the mark. You still do have a chance of getting around a 3.5 though, granted you get mostly A's from now on, so just keep up your grades and you should be fine. In my opinion, anything over a 2.5 is "acceptable" and anything over a 3.5 is doing really well. :)
You have plenty of time to get your GPA up there, just keep working hard, try your best and you have 3 years to raise it, so you'll be fine, good job on the honors classes! try hard in those especially!

Why is the S.A.T. so important in high school?
-Performance on it (or the ACT) can earn you scholarships, college entrance, and general respect/notoriety. Getting into a good school will, theoretically, lead you to a good career and happy life.Performance on it (or the ACT) can earn you scholarships, college entrance, and general respect/notoriety. -i asked my teacher and she said that i didn't meet the requirements on the ela state exam. But then i double checked and found that i did meet the requirements.Unfortunately, i found this out on the last day of school. i emailed her but she didn't respond. 8th grade is coming closer and i don't know how to get someone to look at what i found. how do i do it?I just got out of 8th grade and the people that took the rregennts were the ones taking 9th grade math (for the math regions) and in 9th grade science for the science one. Does the school in your district have to let you in?
-Hi I'm having a little debate with my friend and I was just wondering:
So is the school district that you live in required to let you into that school? Even if it is full? Don't they still have to let you in?If you are in boundaries for that school, then yes they must allow you to attend.

NEW GIRL GOING TO A NEW SCHOOL HELP!?
-Hi ,! Will im going into the 8th grade and going to a new school we moved but to a different city same state. Now at my old school i was the friendly shy funny girl no one had a problem with me but goin to a new school idk i have butterflies and im siked at the same time! But how do i approach someone i dont want to wait till someone approachs me. I used to go to a school with 99.9掳/掳 of african americans and at this kids its more white people then black people and i also want to wonder do people still do that like only want ti hang out with thats their race by the way i live in MITo start a conversation, look at things in appearance or things you over heard them talking about. For example, if someone has a graphic tee of Call of Duty and you like Call of Duty, start out with something like, "Hey, nice shirt, which game do you like?" Or something along those lines. Along with being the new girl, just be who you were at your old school. So you changed schools. So what? Just because you changed schools doesn't mean you have to be different. The race differences: I used to go to a school where only Asians hung out with Asians, Mexicans hung out with Mexicans, etc. etc. Break the ethnic borders at first, making friends with people in other ethnic groups. If they don't like that, then back down a tiny bit, but make friendly alliances with others. Good luck at your new school, miss!Be friendly, smile, & dress nice. Wear you hair hanging either straight or wavy. Hair extensions are a good idea to because then you can do tons of styles without having to mess up your real hair! And since you mentioned your new school is mostly white people just be friendly as usual & dont act like your a ghetto black kid (jk)!...
Just strike up a conversation with someone--after class, before class, at lunch... I don't know what the people at your school will be like any more than you do, and there's only one way to find out.
Also, your keyboard has a percent sign key. Shift + 5.

Usually your school will send you a supplies list that tells you what you need for each class or they'll tell you on the first day. So take paper and pencils make sure to write down what supplies you'll need.
In high school there isn't too much of a difference in how you dress but here are some ideas.
Outfit Ideas:
dark jeans with a nice top
dress
tank top tucked into a skirt and a cardigan
where to shop:
Hollister
Abercrombie
Delia's
Garage
Lord and Taylor
you can find all of the above at a mall
makeup:
use concealer to cover any blemishes
an eyelash curler and some mascara
cute lip color
and you're good to go
Make sure you get a haircut that's flattering to your face. When you go to the salon just ask your hairstylist for a trim or what she thinks would look good so that your hair has a nice clean cut and no slit ends.
Good luck I hope I helped!!! :)

Can schools make you pay for mufti in the UK?
-Is it worth the fuss? It's only a school fundraiser - if you don't want to join in just wear your uniform as per school policy.Yes. Of course they can.
Science questions.. help!?
-2 questions, here they are, answers appreciated!! 1) if you're spinning on a chair, why do you speed up or slow down when your arms go in and out? 2) if you shot a bullet whilst at the front of a train at 50mos, the bullet leaves the gun at 50mos, so do they travel next to each other? Thanks :)
What should i keep in my locker?
-Keep a little "survival kit" with extra money (only a few $, just enough for lunch or snack if you forget), gum/mints, chap-stick, hair brush or comb, band aids, extra pens or pencils, and anything else you might need or forget. Also you may want to decorate it with pics or magnets or something. Keep your books in between classes (so you don't have to carry them all day). Also keep a jacket if you get cold. Do not keep extra papers or anything, they will get lost!! If they're old throw them out or take them home, if you need them keep them in a folder.Keep a little "survival kit" with extra money (only a few $, just enough for lunch or snack if you forget), gum/mints, chap-stick, hair brush or comb, band aids, extra pens or pencils, and anything else you might need or forget. Also, anything you WANT to keep in there, but whatever you do don't put your cellphone, ipod, or your money! If somehow someone finds out your combo- which trust me one day someone will- if your a girl keep those things in your purse and keep your purse close to you. If your a guy, put them in your pocket, it'll fit. Basically don't put stuff in your locker that you don't want stolen!
If it was anything like my locker, there should be a plantpot, a bicycle wheel, chocolate wrappers and some sand in it :D
but in all seriousness a locker should be for books, stationary, workpads, and general things that you may need throughout the day.
money and papers you think they are important.
backpack, books, ect.

HOUSE and AVERAGE PUBLIC school for kids or CONDO and AWESOME PRIVATE school?
-HOUSE and AVERAGE PUBLIC school for kids or CONDO and AWESOME PRIVATE school?
My daughter will start kindergarten next year and I start thinking what we should do?!
We live in nice 2 bedrooms apartment but we wanted to buy a small house. Since now her education is my priority (Plus I will have another kid in school in 3 years) I have a dilemma because we can't afford house+private school.
I'm interested in your opinion? What you would pick:
Living in 2 bedrooms condo and send your child to Awesome Private School
OR Buy a house, probably in average neighborhood and send your child to public school?
I have feeling that I should stay in condo (even if is a little small) and give her great education rather that have my dream house (let her grow in the house) and not so great education for her.
I know that most peoples think that private schools are just about tuition. It Might be but I worked in public and private school and the one that we would like our daughter to go to is really great academically and kids learn mouchhhhh more than in average public school. But unfortunately is kind of expensive :( Also, I did a lot of research online and asking peoples and there is a lot of different opinions about this topic!I would pick condo and private school. because she will get a better education, and that way when she gets older she will be able to get into a good college. You can always buy a house when you get older! (:

School Bag for 9th Grade?!?
-Okay so im going to 9th grade and i was wondering what school bag/ Bookbag i should get:
http://www.hollisterco.com/webapp/wcs/st鈥?/a>
http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat鈥?/a>
Or a simple one color jansport book bag.
Im a pretty girly girl but i dont wanna go with the Hollister bag because thats kinda kiddish and the forever 21 bag seems a bit to dressed up? Lol and idk about the jansport bag ... what do you think? Any recommendations.. Whats your school bag ?There's a couple options.
-Sackpacks are pretty hot right now. Mostly in brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour. It's sportier though, so you might not like it. http://tinyurl.com/3lb87jk (The default is rather boyish, but if you scroll through the options you can see some cute ones --Especially the last two!)
-Brand Totes (High Fashion) are always hot. The reason Brand Name totes are great is that it's an easy-going type of purse with a great edge. This may be a tad expensive though http://tinyurl.com/3snxf8c (This is a Betsey Johnson tote, and it's adorable! If you want one WITHOUT a "Design" on it, here's a better one: http://tinyurl.com/435h83h --It's more expensive, though.)
-Graphic Totes are pretty cool, too. And they're always an eye-catcher! Here's one from Betsey Johnson, and it has alot of other pieces to match with it, if you want to buy those too! http://tinyurl.com/3rbq37c
-Textured purses are amazing, too. They look interesting, and can be as simple or crazy as you like! http://tinyurl.com/3cqsyjw
-Animal print is hot, especially in colours other than the natural animal's. http://tinyurl.com/3nnqovn
-Use brands that nobody is really familiar with. EVERYONE is going to buy things from Hollister, Aero, and AE. Try brands like Roxy or Guess. http://tinyurl.com/3e65t7p
-Cross-body bags are awesome. They basically wrap around your body on the shoulder. http://tinyurl.com/3mkcha5
There's ALOT of different types of bags. These are just my ideas, and some are my personal tastes. You should try sites like Roxy, CharlotteRusse, BetseyJohnson, BlueFly, and Guess.
-Hope I helped! In my opinion, the second one is too small for your books and maybe even the first one is too small. If the Jansport book bag is a good size and you like it - go for it! If not, I would get a cute Aeropostale bag. My school bag for next year I don't have yet, I will have to start shopping! lol.
Well, those both look a tad bit small since you'll be lugging around a few textbooks at a time.
I suggest the simple Jansport.
I have the NORTH FACE BASE CAMP HOT SHOT. It's like any other backpack...i guess, but it's waterproof! And for me that's a plus, since it rains here in WA a lot!
okay take my word of advice both of those bags are way to freaking small my name is jasmine and im 15 going to the 10th grade and yeah at my school alot of people where messenger bags, jansport, bags from hot topic and some walmart bags thats for both girls and boys and take my advice dont get a north face book bag because thats way to big and upper classmen call it a freshman bag and talk about people who wear them but if your like me and you dnt give a f.uc.k what people say you will wear it but my freshman year i wore a hot topic book bag it was mainly black with red chinese stars this year im going to wear a tan messenger bag with dark brown acessories all around it.

However the dates change depending on the school but generally all the schools have no more than a week difference and it generally is just a couple of days difference.
Usually we start around the first week of September and all the way through till July around the 22-23rd. So the break is about 5/6weeks long (meh) 卢_卢
In 4 days back the beginning of september usually 6 weeks

What does it feel like to be high?
-It depends on what you have taken. If alcohol, you can't get both eyes to look at the same place, then your balance gets wonky. If marijuana, your speech simply stops for unknown reasons. It's quite a hoot to watch someone try to tell a story. Other things give different effects. You feel relaxed or in a different place, you care less about things, sometimes you can feel paranoid or stupid but if you're comfortable in your surroundings it's enjoyable for most people. You might also feel more involved in things like movies, nature, video games, etc. It also has the ability to reduce pain or discomfort and improve appetite so it can make you want to do things, or make you lazy, make you eat more or make you more or less social depending.

Should I take World History to the 16th Century?
-- What is your opinion of the course: interesting, a lot of work, etc.
- I will be a grade 10 taking it, and it is a grade 11 course
- My other courses that semester are: English IB Prep., French Imm. IB Prep., and Math IB Prep.I think that sounds like a valuable course to take. As long as you manage your time well, I think you should take it. Do you want to take it early just for fun, or is there a scheduling issue/some other explanation?

School Supplies for sophomore year?
-I start school on September 6th and I thought that I should start preparing for my school shopping list. I already have my schedule and here are all of the courses that I m taking:
- English
- Chemistry
- Health
- Algebra II
- US History
- Spanish III
- and a class called World of Children (the parenting class)
The courses may look a bit funny but that's only because I took like two sophomore classes my freshman year. I'd love your feedback thanks!Just regular school materials, like any other year.
Here is a list of things you might want to consider buying in preparation for your classes:
- pencil/mechanical pencil
- led (for mechanical pencils)
- sharpener (for pencil)
- eraser
- pens (blue, black, and red)
- write out
- highlighters (may come in handy for English and studying)
- refill paper (lined)
- binders
- calculator
- math set?
I'm not sure what exactly you would need for parenting and health. I would try to figure out what you might need (ask seniors?) and get them as you find out. Most teachers would give you a few days after school starts to get additional supplies if you missed anything.

Should I quit my school's band?
-I guess this is my first question asking here... (Heh heh) Anyhow, I have a question to ask and I'm quite... unsure of my choices.
I've been in band for almost five years and I play multiple instruments. I mainly play the flute, in which I really love to play and practice all of the time. But now at my sophomore year, I feel really pressured by my school on the academics and I want to take as many classes that I want to take for the rest of my high school year. I also wanted to join in clubs and do afterschool activities that I love to do like the Chess Club and HOSA.
So in my previous year (freshman), I was in Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band... All the band options you can ever think of. So I also joined in HOSA and they usually have afterschool meeting on Monday. I can never attend them and I can't even stay afterschool to ask my teacher about a question I have without being late to band. I use to have straight As in all of my classes before, but when I was in my freshman year, my grade has been shaking like crazy. Usually it's because I'm staying up late and not having enough time to study without any good rest after football games/competitions. What's even worse is that sometimes I have a test on the next day after one of those late band practices, which resulted me not doing so hot on a lot of my tests last year.
So this year, I'm planning to quit band and do become a normal student (er, more like a silent student like my usual self. :P). I really want to do the activities I like to do that I couldn't do last year because of band and I really want to have more time to study without having football seasons and band practices mess up my test grades. Also this year, I'm taking a couple of online classes (since my curiousity is killing me. X3)
But what makes me kind of nervous is how my high school band director is a "pusher." One of my friend last year wanted to quit band, even though he's really good on the clarinet. (He wanted to focus on his studies) So he went up to our band director and told her about quitting. Then ever since that day, she has been bothering him nonstop, always asking him to stay after class and ask why he wanted to quit band. (Since he's really really good at the clarinet) When he kept saying he didn't want to be in band, she even called his home everyday, in which pisses him off badly. What's even worse is that most of the band members in band kept on asking him multiple "Why" questions.
So in other words if you're too lazy to read all of that up there, I want to quit band and yes, I do love them and plan to continue in the future, but for now, I want to quit my school's band. However, I don't know what to react to with my band director. I really want to improve my academics score and join in clubs without having to worry about overlapping my band practices (in which I can't skip)
Thank you so much!i think you should just tell him. I really love band and your classes but my grades are shaky. And i really need to improve them before returning to band.
Don't quit you'll regret it :)
don't quit!!

Who do high school booster clubs raise money for? Students? The Program? Coaches? What are they for?
-Should they be raising money to provide items for the student athletes directly? Should they be paying coaches fees and paying for coaches training and certification? What about coaches stipends? Is it based on an individual group or are there some kind of guidelines for what is included?
How can i organize my school binder?
-im going to middle school and need to know im gonna be a sixth graderHey, thanks for asking, I have to help 6th graders this coming year with this exact thing, so i need the practice, well here i go!
When i was in 6th grade i had 2 binders. 1 for morning classes. 1 for afternoon classes. Inside the binder put textbooks (if needed) at the bottom folders next, notebooks, free reading books, pencil bag. I would get a soft pencil bag that is meant to slide into the rings of a binder.
*i pretty much told you to organize heaviest at the bottom to the lightest at the top. Then just carry your binder everywhere and switch after lunch.
i hope this helps! It depends on what is going to go in your school binder. For example, if it is only science, you could order it in the different sciences (physics, biology and chemistry). in each section you could then order the work by date. However if it is in general for all your subjects, you could order it by subjects and then a 'other' section for anything that doesn't fit into a specific section.
well i guess you have to wait cuz you dont know what kind of classes you are going to take. and usually all teachers give you a week to get everything organized so yea dont worry about it that much
Buy some dividers they come in handy to separate each subject. When you get your schedule make sure you put each subject in the order of your classes that way you know where each class martial is, Make sure you keep it neat
do it alphabetically so first math then reading ext
When i was in 6th grade i had 2 binders. 1 for morning classes. 1 for afternoon classes. Inside the binder put textbooks (if needed) at the bottom folders next, notebooks, free reading books, pencil bag. I would get a soft pencil bag that is meant to slide into the rings of a binder.

What is some usable and practical high school advice?
-My friends and I are going to high school next school year, and like everyone is, we're nervous. We really need some advice ranging from what study habits we should develop, what to do during class, etc. to what age is appropriate to date and how to politely turn down people, etc.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.I won't tell you the whole "go out for different stuff, try out new things, etc." because you're probably going to get hundreds of answers like that.
My greatest advice is to get to know your teachers. They will be the ones writing you recommendation letters or being references for jobs in the future. Show a teacher that you are hard working and willing to learn and generally (not always) the teacher will come to respect you and want to help you in whatever you do. Plus, it helps if you need to complain about another teacher.

Need help on taking AP exams?
-I'm in grade 10 going to grade 11 and I plan on getting at least a 4 or 5 on 4 AP exams. My choices for the AP's are Calculus, Micro, Macro, English and most likely a science. But you see the problem is that my school only offers Calculus and English AP courses. Also I'm not going to take English AP course because the teacher only gives out tops 86%'s which is an A-, and that will bring my GPA of 4.0 down. For that reason I need to know what books or what site or anything that you know of can help me prepare for these AP exams step by step. I especially need a very simplified way for the economics(micro+macro) AP exams because I haven't taken any economics or accounting class. However in school my teacher told me that I can go straight into economics 12 without taking accounting 11 because she was also my math teacher and saw the high percentage I received in her class. Thank you for everyone who will answer this question, but I'm just stressing out so much as I am trying to study for the SAT and also having the SAT II on my mind. By the way, I live in Canada, BC.The Princeston Review has a very nice series for the final exams in nearly every AP course offered. I took several AP courses in school and most of my teachers reccomended them. The students that purchased them almost always did better on their finals.

I like the "5 Steps to a 5" books. They're very helpful, with a few splashes of humor that make reading it more interesting. With each of those books I bought, I got at least a 4, even if I only read it the week before the exam!
I've also tried the Princeton review books because I've heard a lot of people say that they're good. I didn't like them, however. They're much more detailed than the 5 Steps books, and take much longer to get through. I still made 4+'s, but I felt like reading these books were a waste of time. Each have practice tests at the end.
That being said, in your case I would go for the Princeton ones. Since you're self-studying, it would probably be better to get a very detailed review of the entire course. The 5 Steps books are probably better if you are taking the class and would like a quicker review.

When i finish 12th grade i want to take a trip to the us?
-I have never been in the US so i am a bit of a 'beginner' when it comes to the US.
Can you say where i should go first? I like L.A , but is that a good city for 'beginners'.
I have travelled a lot in Europe.
And Visas? I am a Swedish and Portuguese citizen. Do i need to get a visa for leisurely purposes?
Do i need to go to the US embassy ?LA would be the last place in the US I would go. It is full of smog, traffic and is expensive. It has a very high cost of living. there.
Fly into Chicago. It is a good starting place in the middle. The South is beautiful- go to the mountains in Tennessee. The ocean coasts of South Carolina. There is nothing like New Orleans.
the US does not have the great public transportation like Europe does. Trains are not as convenient. There isn't any cheap safe places to crash for teens.
As for where to go when you come to america. I guess you could go to LA but i would go to New York. There is a ton of stuff there, and LA is just filled with a lot of people, it's only good to visit if you know exactly what your doing.

I'm worried that no one will write me a recommendation letter for college.?
-In high school I had problems with the teachers because I never turned in homework because I was depressed and always procrastinated. I was also really shy and never talked or participated and I didn't know any of the teachers well. I had social anxiety and a poor image and didn't come to school looking very presentable and I always had body odor.
Now I know that I will have to ask for recommendation letters pretty soon and I just don't know what to do! I don't know who to ask and I can't think of anyone who would want to write me one. I am ashamed to ask. Is there anything I can do like can I get a letter from someone else not school related or could I get a job and get my boss to write them for me? Please help, this is causing me a lot of stress!

High School Students Rights?
-2011. Stockport. Last week of term. With less than 5 days notice until the end of the year, Stockport School announced that all Key Stage 3 forms would be abolished and students would be placed into new ones. A number of students were set to arrive in new forms in the new school year with no friends from their original classes. Some were unhappy about their new teachers. And hundreds of students s...igned petitions against the changes, in an attempt to stay in their original forms. These protests against the changes were unsuccessful, and were ignored by the senior staff of the school. A group of students were set for punishment for expressing their own opinions about the stability of the new school body structure. And strikes and protests are now planned for the last day of the year.
So since everyone wants to go back to our old and oringal forms we are planning to stage more petitions and even a protest but first I want to know our rights. so here are the facts;
-Over 200 parents complained before 4.00pm on Tuesday. All of this was ignored.
-213 is the ammount of names we had on my friends petition, not to mention the others.
-The only reason this is happening is because one of the schools in the area is shut down.
and here are some questions;
-Will we get in trouble for just planning anyway? Although none of the teachers can accesse our Facebooks?
-If all of this and more is being ignored can we get the school introuble?
-And what are our general rights as under 18s? (Most of us our 11, 12, 13, 14)
-And anyother infomation will be of great use, Thank you :)all i know is that you have the right to protest against thing you thing you have to change, as long it is peaceful the law. you can make more people sign a petition and you can take that to the school's bord.
Get emancipated and drop out.. then hitch hike across the U.S.A.

How much is high school marching band worth?
-I moved from Wisconsin to Georgia and i play trumpet in band. I recently got my braces off so I'm still getting used to playing. Well the school I'm going to go to has a wonderful marching band and I want tk be in it but is costs $550. I'm in a tlso brace for scoliosis right now so I would be really hot and it's two days after school every week in the fall and two weeks during the summer everyday. I can't decide weather or not to join. Also o have to decide by tomorrow (Thursday) thanks inadvance! If you can afford the $550, I would say go for it! Marching band is a great thing to be involved in during school, as it teaches you the value of hard work and discipline and allows you to build some of the best friendships you will ever have.
And also, if the money is an issue, try talking to the band director at your new school. Many schools will waive fees for students in tight financial situations, so it would be worth a shot.

Why are vandals considered unsuitable for school? I don’t like wearing ordinary shoes in hot weather.?
-Oh, you vamp! You have the sole of a jester and the tongue of Mrs. Malaprop. You are a shoe-in for my favorite punster. Some of these heels don't get the joke. Boot up, people! Sandles (open toed) are usually banned because there have been so many cases of kids having broken toes, torn feet due to the number of people in the building, getting them caught in doors etc.
Coz they're not uniform, that applies if u live in england if so in america its probably bcoz the teachers are hard arses and are dumb
Because they will vandalise the school. Duurrrr

I Need a good schoolbag?
-I am going into first year and I need a really strong bag for all my books , I have always thought Jansport was a strong bag but my friend is going into second year now and she said that she had a Jansport bag at the start of first year and it broke or ripped or whatever ... Then she got Roxy one and she said it hasn't failed her , she is planning on keeping it for second year even though she usually gets a new bag every year , so what I want to know is which school bag , not just Roxy and Jansport , I meen out of them all , is the strongest and has nice colours and is available in Dublin , Ireland ??? And please don't tell me I am too young to be on this , I wasn't your help , not obvious criticism ,ok??Hi if u want a bag that has 2 straps for both shoulders, try northface or coach. if u want something to hang on one shoulder try aero(very durable). or high sierra
NorthFace is the best! I have one for hiking and my dad has had his for 10 tears and it's still good. Or Nike has good backpacks
L.L. Bean has the best and most durable backpacks. Northface is good.
Try columbia or northface, those are strong.

I didnt sign up for my class for collage in time and idk what to do except wait till next semester?
-well i only got one class at Santa Monica Collage its english and the rest are full i was thinking on working everyday and go to school just for that class is it a good decision you guys think and then wait for next semester to go full time or is there something i can do about it ??
and im going to transfer after 2 years with an AACouple of things here. First, you need to learn the difference in college and collage. One is a school, one is not. Secondly, perhaps you need to learn how to properly make a sentence before you get into 'collage'.
Lastly, good luck with all of that.
I do not know I am not in college

Should I do online high school?
-So I had to leave my old school because I was bullied so much and now I have to move on to a new school in a few months but I get really scared thinking about going back to a school. I have so much Anxiety. It just stresses me out thinking of going back. So I'm considering online school but can I still graduate like I would at a normal school?
Which backpack is better for high school?
-I'm looking for a backpack that I can use in high school. Last year I used one from PB Teen... I loved the color but there was NOT enough space and it tore from the weight of my books. It also only had one large pouch, which was very annoying and I could barely fit anything in the other pouches. This is the old one: http://www.pbteen.com/products/gear-up-b鈥?/a> as you can see, it's not very big.
This year I'm looking for something bigger and stronger than that one. I'm looking at LL Bean because they are better known for stronger backpacks that don't look like you want to go hiking. Appearance isn't everything for me, but I just want to be able to hold all of my books this year. I'm taking 1 AP course each semester, which means a bigger course load, and I'll take 4 classes per semester, to help you guys understand how much space I need. I typically get a 2-inch binder for 3 of my classes and a folder for one, and a 2 textbooks that I have to carry each day. These are the 2 I am looking at. (I really like the color pink, so that's what I would get.)
Deluxe Book Pack: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/62852?fea鈥?/a>
Things I like about this one: It's simple, and looks like it has plenty of room. It's a lotttt better looking than the other one, which isnt super important to me but could be a contributing factor.
Things I dont like: Could be too small, doesn't look as strong as the other one.
Turbo Transit Pack: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/64778?fea鈥?/a>
Pros: Bigger, more room, stronger.
Cons: Possibly too big for what I need? I don't know how much I will be stowing but it could be. Not very attractive.
Thanks for the help!the second one is better i have the jansport air cure for this year and it is the perfect size and bot of those are bigger but the turbo transit looks like you could be more organized than the deluxe book pack(:I like the first one, it seems like it would do the job and it looks nice. You could always slip the textbook into one of the binders to make more space.
Deluxe. Unless you're taking a lot of classes, then I suggest the Turbo.
I like the deluxe book pack a little bit more!
I think the Turbo Transit Pack would work better.
2nd one.
second one
I'm feelin the second one more.
turbo transit is cute, and has a lot of room. :)
2nd one.
