Im 13. and im going to grade 8 when school starts how do i make sure i get accepted in my chosen high school?

-kso, i know the drill in my school when you get into grade 8 in the middle of the year my teachers tell you to start thinking about what high school you want to go to. im in grade 7 (well its summer break but when i go back to school ill be in grade 8) but the 8's this year had the talk with my teachers about high school and because they didn't think about which high school they want to go to over the summer, none of the grade 8s get to go to high school with there friends like all of them go to diff rent high schools, and when i go to Highschool i at least want to go with 1 friend, so im thinking about it now. i really want to get into Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute, ive been going to track anFieldld ever scence grade 1 so ill fit in the athletics part, but im wonderingng if they look for more than just athletics? can someone not reaathleticctic get in? all of my "sporty" friends arnt gong there and my best friend hates sports but shes good at art and ive done researchasch and found that they have a good arts program( btw my friend isnt thinking about highschool now, she makes it seem like she doesnt even want to go to highschool, so i guess im going all of this reach on my own for the both of us :/), that'shats besides the point basicallysicly what i want to know is, what i need to make sure i get aceppentd.
