High School Students Rights?

-2011. Stockport. Last week of term. With less than 5 days notice until the end of the year, Stockport School announced that all Key Stage 3 forms would be abolished and students would be placed into new ones. A number of students were set to arrive in new forms in the new school year with no friends from their original classes. Some were unhappy about their new teachers. And hundreds of students s...igned petitions against the changes, in an attempt to stay in their original forms. These protests against the changes were unsuccessful, and were ignored by the senior staff of the school. A group of students were set for punishment for expressing their own opinions about the stability of the new school body structure. And strikes and protests are now planned for the last day of the year.

So since everyone wants to go back to our old and oringal forms we are planning to stage more petitions and even a protest but first I want to know our rights. so here are the facts;

-Over 200 parents complained before 4.00pm on Tuesday. All of this was ignored.

-213 is the ammount of names we had on my friends petition, not to mention the others.

-The only reason this is happening is because one of the schools in the area is shut down.

and here are some questions;

-Will we get in trouble for just planning anyway? Although none of the teachers can accesse our Facebooks?

-If all of this and more is being ignored can we get the school introuble?

-And what are our general rights as under 18s? (Most of us our 11, 12, 13, 14)

-And anyother infomation will be of great use, Thank you :)all i know is that you have the right to protest against thing you thing you have to change, as long it is peaceful the law. you can make more people sign a petition and you can take that to the school's bord.
Get emancipated and drop out.. then hitch hike across the U.S.A.
