-I'm about to start high school on August 4th, and I'm kind of nervous, but excited also. Is 9th grade much harder than 8th grade? (I am going to be in all Honors, but I wasn't last year.) I also am now allowed to wear makeup, so any tips on what kind of make-up freshmans wear? It would be also helpful if you would give me some tips on how to stay organized. Lastly, did you enjoy your freshman year? (:
Thanks in advance!-In my opinion 9th grade is the easiest year of school, its a tiny bit harder than 8th grade but not a lot. When i was a freshman i took all honors classes just like you! Its not really a challenge you just need to be sure that you study & turn in your work on time.
- To stay organized always keep your bookbag clean! Do not let trash pile up in there. Use folders to keep your classes organized
- For a bookbag i suggest you get a cute messenger bag
- Makeup: Just wear natural colors, use mascera, some eyeliner.
NO I DIDNT ENJOY MY FRESHMAN YEAR! I wasnt prepared, i had no sense of style, i was clueless, nervous... i was a mess back then. lol but thankfully now i'm much better. I really hope you enjoy your freshman year of high school!Ah, I remember my first day freshman year :) going into senior year now!
I took mostly honors as well, and it's not horribly different from 8th grade. You know how transferring from 7th to 8th got a little harder? Transferring from 8th to 9th will be the same. Just a little harder. Plus, you end up just getting used to the work after like 2 weeks, so then it just seems normal.
Staying organized... a binder/notebook for each class, and it really helps when they're different colors so you can easily learn to grab a certain color for a certain class. DON'T get into the habit of procrastinating... I did, and now I'm a senior and still do :( and that sucks!
Freshman year is one of the best... it's the easiest, most carefree year. After that... things get harder and more... uh interesting haha.
And about the makeup, wear what makes YOU feel best, not what everyone else is wearing. If you feel like you only need some concealer and mascara, perfect. Just some eyeliner? That's cool too. Take a couple days to do test-runs for different amounts/types/whatever of makeup before school starts so you can decide what you like best and makes you feel your best and prettiest :)

I'm a sophomore, so I just finished my freshman year. It sucks. To be honest, it sucks. There are three grades of people ahead of you who have nothing better to do than make fun of you. The kids in your class don't have any younger kids in school to pick on, so they pick on each other. Midterms and finals are HARD especially since you're new to them. Middle school doesn't prepare you for the tasks of high school. You get lost, you get new interests (which in turn might cause the loss of friendships) and are an overall different person! I don't wear makeup (allergic to the damn stuff, even the hypo-allergenic crap), so I don't know about that. My friends force me into makeup when I ask a guy out. By the way, asking guys out will be harder, since you meet more mature guys who are most likely older than you, so you don't know them as well as the guys in your class. The school is probably big, so be careful. The upperclassmen, even the sophomores and other freshmen, will purposely lead you in the wrong direction. I did NOT enjoy my freshman year. Good luck!

Organisation:
The only locker clean out is at the end of the year,SO please for people around you DON'T leave food,etc. untill they rot
Always think ahead
ex.if you have maths class right after History bring your history stuff too,since most lockers are rarely visited during the school day
Well my freshman year was pretty good I was excited to go to high school and be with seniors :').
Oh and also ask a hall moniter for directions if you get lost :')

Just be yourself and be excited about trying different things. Always keep a positive attitude, and keep naivety at bay. Always be on your p's and q's. Let people see that you are friendly, but that you have a strong head on your shoulders.
You could try a little sheer or naked color on the lips, and any light and natural make-up that only enhances your natural beauty in slight, should do. You don't want too much make-up..........it is after-all high school, not college :)
I had fun my freshman year! Keep a journal. There will be a lot of firsts that you may want to later come back to and relive :)
Im starting too but i have a ton of junior friends which i had asked the same thing. They jus told me jus to stay one of those chill people and to look fresh everyday. Im not sure about you cuz you are a girl. Jus dont look slutty. Ni66as like me aint care how you look. Jus be good in school and get good grades to provide a path for your future. Hoped this helped.
try to see if they will let you go look around the school. high school can be a tone of fun but it helps to know where your going. just have fun with it and try not to be late to your classes. do your homework and stay away from drugs and the kids that do them. have fun

10)If you make eye contact with somebody start a conversation
11)Give a lot of compliments, compliments can also start conversations eg. "OMG, I love your scarf! Where'd you get it?"
12)Don't hang with the wrong crowd
13)Don't spend all of your energy trying to be popular
14)Find your knick
15)Ask them if they like some things you like
16) Don't talk too much but DON'T make them do all the talking
17)Most of all know that whatever happens, happens
18)Hang out with your friends friends
19) Don't boss people around
20)Don't be a Bit** to try and make friends
21) Join clubs/sports team for friends with similar interests
22) Love yourself! If you don't love yourself, no one else can either :]
Oh, && for makeup i would just go on youtube and look at people like youtube.com/meganhearts makeup or youtube.com/macbarbie07 they do hair too
