How can i prepare for an Avid Class in high school?

-i never took an avid class before even though it is a 4 year program but im taking it senior year because i signed up for it. long story as to why i decided so late but yea. i was an avid tutor junior year but dropped that because my kids were freshmens and sophomores but im very unsocial and teaching kids isn't my forte. i remember a couple things from the tutorials is that you must have a neat binder.. 3 inches or was it 2 inch binders?

so whoever has avid as a class please let me know the things i'll need like.. 2 pens.. pencils.. dividers? things like that please help !Hello! I've taken AVID for two years straight, throughout middle school. I'm taking it this year as well, and my brother was in it during high school same thing.

They were always ORGANIZED. So that would mean

Two pens (black or blue)

Two Red pens (seperate from other colored pens)

Two Pencils

Highlighter

Dividers (for every core class etc)

A pouch for all your supplies(organize!)

Notebook Paper! (could be a notebook, but it must be in your binder)

We were always assigned a Binder, no noteboook. The size was around 2 inches, but teachers weren't too strict on it, so they let me slide with thinner ones. In Avid you do have tutorials...we also take Cornell Notes, at least at my High School. So you'll always need notebook paper, actually it had to be College Ruled paper. And if you don't have all the supplies they eat you alive-.- you have to be organized to succceed bleh.

On the first day they should give you a syllabus or I'm not sure how it works over there. Anyways, I think pens/pencils and paper are really important. Good Luck!
