Nowadays, do you really need to play sports at school to get a job?

-Me and my mom were arguing and she said I need to play sports to get a scholarship and get a job, but I think that's bullshit. I don't think you need to play a sport to get a job later in life, thousands and thousands of people don't play sports, but they'll most likely get good jobs in the future, so what's the problem? I want to become a musician and last time I checked, you don't need to play football to sing in a band and make money..No, sports are not necessary although they often do help, but volunteering for the community and in fundraising events or organizations often expands your application even more than sports do. Other than than, good grades is all you really need, but volunteering really does help.
