How am I suppose to carry my books to school?

-I had scoliosis surgery June 29th which is the doctors operated on my back because my spine was shaped like an S. I go back to school around August 15th and I'm not allowed to carry a bookbag... what am I suppose to do!? I don't want to look like an idiot carrying around a bulky purse with my lunchbox in my other hand. I don't want to look bad :( I'm going to be a sophomore by the way. And I hate using my locker.Without a locker this could be hard but you'll have to start using it at least a few times a day. Consider a purse or tote bag and just carry books and notebooks around.You're right, you aren't going to be carrying around a wheely bag. You're supposed to pull it behind you.



Your options are pretty much wheely bag and locker, or a campus advisor/aide carrying your books and therefore following you around all day long until your back heals. You know who else gets a campus advisor assigned to them like that? Those kids that wear helmets and only fail a grade if they bite somebody again. You're more likely to be teased for that than you are for using a rolling backpack.



If you call your school and explain your situation to them (which I advise you to do now, before school starts, so you have arrangements in place to keep you from hurting your back while it heals), I'm thinking unless you have a doctor's note saying you can't pull a rolling bag or open a locker, they're not going to offer you any other options.
Aww, that sucks majorly.

But maybe you can use a wheel bag? Like the bag with wheels that you can pull around. I have one of those, and no matter how much books I have in it, It never really bothers me. Then when your back is healed, you can carry it like a book bag, there are straps for that if you don't want to use the wheels anymore.

If you have a medical reason a teacher's aide can carry the books to your classes.

Ask the school for a Kindle ( most school use them now anyway)
